Peeled prawns
Only the best Royal Greenland – the best quality and lowest ice glaze. Check your yields, you’ll
find these are the cheapest. In 5˝lb bags.
Shell-on prawns
Best-quality prawns, cooked and frozen. Try serving a pint with brown bread and butter, they
take a long time to eat, but your customers will drink more as a result! A pint weighs about 280g.
Don’t forget the finger bowl. The boxes are often packed overweight, so you’ll get more for
your money. In 5kg boxes.

Cooked king
prawns (crevettes)
Frozen whole prawns. Ideal for salads, look good, or just warm through quickly. They look
impressive. In 10-20s or 20-30s.
Cooked and peeled king prawns

Convenient - keep some in your freezer. Peeled by machine and immersed in water, so tend to
have less flavour, but are ideal for cooking. About 40 to the kg.

Uncooked king prawns
or “tigers”, head and tail on
Frozen in 1kg boxes, head and tail on. Fry in sesame/olive oil (20%/80%) for a delicious
oriental flavour. Serve with a chilli or sweet-sour sauce. Cooked when pink.
Uncooked peeled king prawns
Giants – about 1oz each – and deveined. Less flavoursome than shell-on prawns, but some
dishes need peeled prawns. All our customers who buy these come back for more.

Prawns in filo pastry
Delicious deep fried, served with a spicy or chilli sauce. In boxes of about 50.
Block prawns
Whole tails frozen in ice, 1.8kg, 21-25s.
Wild
large uncooked prawns
The best prawns you can get, wild, flown in fresh from Mozambique, nearly as large as a lobster.
